Moods of Kelli Marie

For over three decades, Kelli Marie has been devoted to developing a unique blend of Jazz and Gospel music as a lifelong passion. Influenced by her late great uncle, famed and world-renowned photographer, director, and composer, Gordon Parks, she has dedicated her career to inspiring others through her music.

A native of Minneapolis, MN, her credits include membership and performances with Grammy Award winning group Sounds of Blackness on the Perspective Recording label, headed by Jimmy Jam Harris and Terry Lewis (Flyte Time Productions). She has also performed with Lee Brewer and Bob Telson’s Gospel at Colonus, James Greer & Company, Grammy Award nominee Excelsior Gospel Ensemble, Penumbra Theatre, Showers of Blessings Gospel Choir of Atlanta, Georgia and Ben Harney’s Unbroken Chain Fellowship Choir in New York City. A complete performer, she studied dance and classical ballet under the direction of Alvin Ailey, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Phil Blackmon New York City Ballet, and Jo Savino Russian Ballet Academy in Minnesota.

Kelli has performed the national anthem for the World Olympics Association and National Athletic Association, and the Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Braves games. Other credits include performances with various artists, such as Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, The Temptations, Stokely Williams (of Mint Condition), the late vocal coach and jazz vocal artist Roberta Bruce-Davis, the great gospel recording artist Tramaine Hawkins-Richardson, the remarkable and talented group The Winans, La-Shun Pace Rhodes, Ann Nesby, and the late impeccable song writer Kevin Lenox.

Presently Kelli Marie is pursuing a solo music career, residing in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she working on her solo debut projects titled, “Moods of Kellie Marie: A Wealthy Place and Altogether Lovely. She actively performs, in San Francisco Bay Area and has appearanced in Jack London Square, John Ivy’s Bluesville, Kimball’s East, San Francisco Peir and as the featured artist at Larry and Della’s Creole Water Front Restaurant.
